Keeping it real

As the whole country takes further steps into opening up for business, welcome to our world of data shredding.

Here at Restore Datashred we never closed, we were always here. Throughout lockdown we have continued to service key workers in essential businesses and organisations whether in manufacturing, local authorities or in healthcare, including, of course, the NHS. We helped keep the country moving by recovering paper fibre for the cardboard industry, for instance, or shredding obsolete patient records from NHS trusts whose records management teams found time to undertake clearance projects, or by helping all those of you who suddenly found yourselves ‘working from home’ – and may well still be there – and needing to maintain handling protocols and compliance for all your confidential data.

Our usual high standard of customer service – ‘Excellent’ on Trustpilot – means we increased flexibility and tailored services for you, eg, service ‘holidays’ where you have been able to pause regular collections – consider this a gentle reminder that you might want to start up again! For more information on restarting your confidential data collection click here. We’ve continued to operate our fleet of high security vehicles and destroyed customer data on a daily basis – all with additional and robust precautions built in to reassure you that we take your and our employees’ health, as well as your data security, very seriously.

And here’s what some of our customers have had to say about Restore Datashred over the past few months…

KW said – Great service
“Very easy to book, quick response. Driver very courteous and efficient – well aware of COVID-19 social distancing. Will definitely use them again.”

Michael McAlinden – I would recommend this company 100%

“I would recommend this company 100%. My point of contact was Alicia Hurst and she was excellent throughout. She is an asset to this company. The driver Delroy David was also great and worked quickly and efficiently with a friendly manner. Overall, a very positive experience.”

Sandra Sciven – We have used this company before and will return again
“We have used this company before and will return again. Always efficient and quick to reply to any queries. My order was dealt with Alicia this time and even during this troubled time of COVID-19 there was no change to the usual excellent customer service I received. I am impressed with the on-site shredding service. Thank you for your help.”

A reminder of what we offer you

The features that run through and link all of our services are:
– Our service standards
– Our high-level security
– Our people

Our 12 shredding centres are sited the length and breadth of the country so that we can achieve large-scale efficiencies alongside intimate local knowledge. All the elements of service we offer you are designed to create a smooth, seamless and risk-free process for disposing of your confidential data and materials at the end of their useful life.

On site shredding: for enhanced peace of mind, you can watch your confidential data tip from bin to blade in one of our mobile shredding vehicles parked in a designated spot at your place of work.

Off-site shredding: the most cost-effective option for larger, or regular, collections, you receive the same friendly, unobtrusive service and guaranteed levels of security from your place to our shredding centre.

Online customer portal: for 24/7 access to management and control of your account, viewing the unbroken chain of custody through collection notes, tracking reports, invoices and environmental report from the comfort of your own desktop – whether you’re working from home or even while we are sleeping!

Data protection: you may be stretched, but data security needs to remain one of your priorities. All data protection legislation – GDPR and DPA 2018 – is still in place and we recommend that all our customers continue to adhere to it. This means ensuring that your records management has no gaps for risk to creep in during its lifecycle, ensuring that you send obsolete paper and digital records to be securely destroyed when required.

Certificate of destruction: for on-site shreds, this document that secures your peace of mind is often supplied before your operative has left your premises. Off site, it is issued within hours.

A more efficient, greener fleet: our FORS and Masternaut-accredited fleet uses management software that plots the quickest routes through traffic, the most effect green routes for less stop/start and idling – and all with the aim of collecting from you on time, every time.

Environmental report: via your customer portal log-in, you can access your personalised environmental report that shows how much H2O, CO2 and how many trees have been saved because you have chosen to dispose of your data responsibly.

Customer service: we’re proud of our Trustpilot rating of ‘Excellent’…
