Meet the Team

Welcome to our new Meet the Team spot. This is where we’ll introduce you to some of the people working at Restore Datashred, take you behind the scenes so that you get to know what they do and their responsibilities, as well as get a flavour of them as a person.

First in the spotlight is Adam Burden…

Adam is the Head of Health and Safety and Compliance at Restore Datashred and brings 30 years' experience to the table in operations, logistics and management across a range of different business types and industries. He enjoys working in a team of colleagues who all have the same goal: providing the best possible customer service.

His role is to oversee Health and Safety, Quality and Compliance throughout the business, assisting H&S officers to ensure the division’s total compliance with legislation. Adam also liaises with suppliers, trains and motivates the teams, striving for continual improvement in performance.
In his downtime you might find him striding the fields and valleys of Hampshire and Dorset clay pigeon shooting, or turning his hand to a spot of woodworking in his home workshop.

We asked Adam a couple of questions that help us get the measure of him.

Restore Datashred: What words of wisdom would you pass on to your younger self?
Adam Burden: Consider all outcomes when making a decision that will affect others.

Restore DS: How do you prefer to start your day?
AB: A cup of tea and a chat with my hens.

Restore DS: What's a work related accomplishment that you're really proud of?
AB: At a previous employer I mentored one of my team to become my successor – “he’s nearly as good as me now”

Restore DS: What's your biggest pet peeve?
AB: Smokers’ unofficial breaks!

Restore DS: What's something big or small you're really good at?
AB: I started my career in construction, so I’m very practical and good at making things.

Restore DS: What's something big or small you're really bad at?
AB: Ironing, although that might be a self-inflicted bad!

Restore DS: Thanks, Adam, for taking some time out of your busy day to answer our questions! It’s been great getting to know a little about what makes you tick.

To find out a little more about the type of projects Adam works on with his team, and how their results improve our levels and quality of customer service – as well as excellent management, data and environmental protection, among others – why not take a look at our Accreditations page?

Meanwhile, come back next week to get the inside story on another member of the Restore Datashred team – same time, same place!
