New release: this year’s chart topper!

We all know the hit Christmas carol from the 18th century, The 12 Days of Christmas, but do you know when the 12 days actually start?

The first day of Christmas is Christmas Day itself as it starts a flight of holy days and special days up to and including 5 January – the eve of Epiphany. Across the world, all manner of feasting, songs, processions and local traditions mark these dates.

This year, here at Restore Datashred, we’re going to break with tradition and suggest you start your 12 days of Christmas on 13 December. That’s right, we’re supplying the words to a new hit carol ‘The 12 Shredding Bales of Christmas’ to sing along as you get your big, end-of-year clear out (and post-party tidy up!) done and dusted before the holidays start from 24 December onwards. So, limber up, do a spot of gargling and get singing!

13 December: On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

An archive of ancient records (we can dispose of the lot, in one go, with our powerful, hungry shredding blades)

14 December: On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Two Christmas jumpers (we can shred all manner of textiles and some designs probably deserve it!)

15 December: On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Three USBs (comply with the GDPR regulations about a customer’s right to be erased through complete destruction of their archived digital record)

16 December: on the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Four calling cards (time to shred all the personalised stationery of the marketing guy who left a year ago, and, while you’re about it, all the old branded collateral hiding in a box under your desk)

17 December: On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Five fake things (counterfeit products, if apprehended and removed from the market, should be securely destroyed to protect your business and your customers)

18 December: on the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Six million fragments (one of our new ShredTech MDX-3 mobile shredding vehicles can reduce a few kilos of your obsolete paper documents into tiny fragments in just moments – while you watch!)

19 December: on the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Seven sheafs a-shredding (patient and employee records, payroll information, old correspondence, meeting minutes, draft documents, Lever Arch folders, and so on – keep them safe from prying eyes in a secure on-site bin and we will discretely remove them and whisk them away to one of our high security destruction centres for total shredding, followed up by a certificate of destruction)

20 December: on the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Eight paper chains (for when the party’s over)

21 December: on the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Nine mag subscriptions (send all those old business titles that have been gathering dust in reception to the shredder for Christmas

22 December: on the tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Ten computer hard drives (we shred and recycle these so none of your confidential data is at risk)

23 December: on the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Eleven present wrappings (left over from your team’s Secret Santa)

24 December: on the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Twelve paper sacks (place all paper items for shredding in our secure sacks and we will dispose of the lot in one go – plenty of room for ‘end-of-term’ decorations, cards and wrappers, as well as the more serious stuff)

Not only do we write hit songs, but we always strive to be good for the environment, too. We aim to throw 0% into landfill and, through this commitment, we contribute to helping you reduce your environmental footprint through saving quantities of CO2 emissions and water in the process.

Restore Datashred – we’re serious about shredding.
And we recycle everything – paper, textiles, cardboard, media and WEEE items.
