Restore Scan to exhibit at the 7th NDA Supply Chain Event

2nd November 2017; Event City, Manchester

Organised by the industry for the industry, the NDA Estate Supply Chain Event is the perfect opportunity for SME's to network amongst and gain access to the nuclear decommissioning sector.

As the operator of Nucleus: The Nuclear and Caithness Archives, on behalf of the NDA, Restore Scan are delighted to exhibit at the event for the second year.

A project and collaboration like no other, ensures the secure housing of vital documents requiring preservation from across the Nuclear Estate, as sites throughout the country enter the decommissioning phase. Restore Scan maintain a primary socio-economic focus throughout this project by employing local people, utilising resident contractors and engaging at all times with the local community, which is the foundations of the ongoing relationship as the contract progresses and develops.

Nucleus has been a collaborative effort of which we're immensely proud. Our vision is that Nucleus will serve as an example of excellence in records management for years to come. In the long term, Restore has made a commitment to secure a "Place of Deposit" status for Nucleus (anticipated in late 2017) - an award which denotes exceptional standards in running an archive of this nature.

Alongside exhibiting this year, Restore Scan have the privilege of applying for the Best Supply Chain Collaboration Award in recognition of both their commercial and community partnerships in delivering this esteemed project.

The close cooperation that exists between Restore and the NDA was born at the outset of the contract. The Nucleus archive is a major government initiative deriving complex work streams that require high levels of collaboration between all parties and stakeholders.
