National Account Manager – Public Sector

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager with experience in consultatively managing, retaining and selling document management solutions into existing customers within the NHS and central and local government. This person will be allocated a customer base to manage and grow as part of this role.

 

KEY TASKS

  • Meeting set growth targets and personal objectives
  • Protect, retain and grow your account base
  • Ensure the right activity (KPI’s) are met
  • Set clear account plans including method, planning and execution that is easily understood and carried out
  • Compile and analyse your own revenue and box figures
  • Accurately report key information to line Manager
  • Developing new business strategies
  • Track contract expiry dates and gain re-signs prior to customers going out to tenders
  • Keep up to date on changes within your sector
  • Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets
  • Identify and win opportunities for new revenue beyond storage
  • Seek opportunities to consolidate new boxes from customers that are multi-vendor
  • Work closely with operations and business support to ensure that customer commitments are deliverable and that solutions/opportunities are optimized
  • Work closely with other departments, such as credit control to reduce bad debt.
  • Identify revenue projection gaps early and be able to implement effective plans to fill the gaps
  • Ensure effective sales diary and territory planning takes place maximizing personal effectiveness and minimizing down time.
  • Actively be involved in business planning and shaping the way this role can be fully profitable with your line manager
  • Write proposals and be involved with complex tenders
  • Present solutions to key stakeholders, understand customer processes and specific business needs
  • Monthly reporting to be taken from Maximizer (CRM) and to update Head of Public Sector Accounts on the following: Activity (appointments; split out by accounts and prospects) Pipeline; actual revenue v’s target revenue and forecast
  • Communicate effectively with other stakeholders in the business

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to display the following skills and attitude:

  • Highly motivated to deliver results sourced from up sell opportunities within your allocated account base.
  • Resilient work ethic to grow a pipeline that often takes 6 to 12 months to close
  • Understanding on how to construct individual strategies to win small-medium contract and project wins that will meet/exceed targets
  • Demonstrate customer excellence to help protect and retain accounts
  • Ability to resolve problems swiftly
  • Take ownership and be accountable to set revenue targets and actively seek out ideas and opportunities to increase business within your designated customer accounts
  • Accurate reporting skills and analysis of data

Pre-requisites:

  • Clear understanding of Records management/outsourcing processes, drivers and challenges
  • You can clearly demonstrate you have developed excellent customer relationships and retained business/contracts  
  • An exceptional team player with experience of working with stakeholders across different business areas
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • You may be required to stay away from home from time to time. Having a full driving license is essential

  • Report any Health & Safety, Quality, Information Security, Environmental and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery incidents to your supervisor/line manager

Managers are responsible for training staff on Company Policies and Procedures contained in Health & Safety, Quality, Information Security, Environmental and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Management Systems.
