#ARCHIVE30 | Restore Records Archive Storage

The Archives and Records Association, Scotland have launched their #Archive30 challenge for the month of April, asking their social media followers to post pictures of interesting items in archive that match the day’s topic.

Topics such as Mystery, Something Big, Animals and Fashion rub shoulders with Your Archive, Why Archive and Your Workspace. Archivists from around the world are taking part, posting photographs of their wonderful heritage items and archive locations – varying from basement rooms to an old jail.

If you have any interesting items stored with us that you would like to photograph for #Archive30, just give us a call on 0333 060 0349.

We have archive sites across England, Scotland and Wales, but our specialist heritage archive store in Oxfordshire is contained within ex-Cold War hardened aircraft shelters which are proof against bombs, floods, fire, damp and pests. Not only that, they are protected by first class technology and meet the highest conservation standards – which is just as well since they, in turn, protect priceless artworks and furniture, ancient relics, anthropological artefacts and irreplaceable documents.

If you would like a tour of the facilities and of their airfield history, or information about our heritage storage and how we can help with conservation, call us or drop a line to michael.watts@restore.co.uk, our Heritage Consultant.

You can also follow us on TwitterFacebook, and Linkedin.
