Procedure Options that are Included in The Secure Vault Storage Service From Restore

If you are interested in finding out more about the secure vault storage facilities that Restore has to offer, then in this article we are going to highlight some of the options that are put in place under the overall vault storage service. However, if you have not read about Restore’s secure vault storage and want to find out about the overall service, you can do so here.

Procedures Within the Secure Vault Storage System

When you choose to use our vaults to store your important items or information, there are a number of procedures that can be chosen to be put into place depending on your item and your own specific requirements. These include information about the BS 5454 and highlighting that the storage facility that restore uses, adheres to it. It also includes the presence of CCTV, the use of RFID Tags and specialist air handling.

BS 5454

The BS 5454 was a set of recommendations on how buildings with the purpose of storing information, documents or sensitive items for long periods of time should be designed, structured and built to ensure the protection of the items stored within it.

It covered the security levels of the facility, the fire resistance, the location of the building as well as the ranges in temperature and humidity of the environment and the effects on items stored within it.

Restore’s secure vault storage facility complies with the BS 5454 to ensure that items are well protected from any potential harm, and that the facility is secure.

The facility has CCTV in place to ensure that any unauthorised entry, damage or theft of items in a vault can be recorded and identified. This helps in both the deterrent of behaviour and the identification of individuals and stolen items.

Radio-frequency identification tags can be attached to your items or documents, they can be attached within items and still work efficiently. If items did go missing from the vault, the RFID tag would enable the item to be located and returned to the owner or storage vault.

Specialist Air Handling – Latest Desiccant Technology

This is the process of creating the correct environment in terms of temperature and humidity levels for the items and documents within your storage vault, making sure that they are preserved and protected whilst stored with us.

These are just a few of the procedures that are covered by Restore’s secure vault storage facility. They are put into place to ensure the secure and safe storage and protection of the items and documents you trust to store within our vaults.
