Bees are one of the world’s major pollinators, crucial to 70 of the 100 crop species that feed 90% of the world’s population. Without the 25,000 species of bee that we have, we would be in a rather desperate situation with the loss of plant life, the creatures that feed on the plants, and so on up the food chain.
The idea of a World Bee Day started in Slovenia in 2014 and, after three years of hard work by the Slovenian Beekeepers Association and the Slovenian Government, the UN resolution was passed naming 20 May World Bee Day. Bees are hugely important in Slovenia, where around one in 200 people keeps bees in gloriously painted, unique bee hives.
Our ultra-secure storage vaults are a ‘hive’ of activity and home to deep-storage items; those that are especially valuable or that only rarely need to see the light of day – property deeds or wills for example. Our vaults are literally carved from stone, deep underground, and have specialist security measures in place. If you would like further information on our unique ultra-secure vaults you can reach us through our website or on 0333 060 3276.
