National Conservation ServiceThe National Conservation Service (NCS) specialise in providing advice, management, practice and training in the care and conservation of archive, library and museum collections. NCS is unique in providing these services through a not-for-profit Membership scheme for institutions.

NCS’s team of qualified conservators design and carry out conservation projects on or off-site. Projects include cleaning, box production and packaging, minor repairs, surveys and monitoring programmes.

NCS act on behalf of the heritage organisation, monitoring the quality of conditions at the storage facility and advising institutions on their collections needs before moving to the site.
