Restore Technology recently teamed up with the multinational law firm DLA Piper, whose Sheffield branch were looking to make a charitable donation of 25 laptops to a local school. In order to achieve this securely and efficiently, they enlisted our help and we were happy to get involved.
We first travelled up to Sheffield to collect the assets in an unmarked, GPS tracked vehicle, before bringing them back to our facility in Dunsfold. The hard drives from these laptops were then removed before being shredded in order to ensure any data was irretrievably destroyed. Next we replaced each of the hard drives, free of charge, and removed any identifying marks from the laptops in order to bring them back to factory specifications and completely negate any possibility of a data breach.
Finally we took the refurbished laptops back to DLA Piper in Sheffield, ready for them to be presented to the school two days later.
