IOSH Managing Safely<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Investing in people is also a big part of our culture \u2013 which is why we\u2019ve become an accredited training location for IOSH Managing Safely courses to help build capability and promote safer working, not just in our business, but across the wider industry. So far, we\u2019ve trained over 98 people leaders to make sure safety is included in every decision.<\/p>\n

Restore Technology focus: introducing Christopher Parsons<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t

While we\u2019re investing across the PLC, we\u2019re also focusing on the risks that are unique to each of our Business Units specialist sectors.<\/p>\n

At Restore Technology, our team process more than 1.5 million devices per year, covering a range of different equipment. That much tech adds up, so there\u2019s a manual handling and storage element to our work. We support our team with clear guidelines and processes relating to manual handling to reduce impact and minimise risks. There are also electrical safety factors to working with electronic devices, and our team has the requisite training to stay safe while assessing, updating, and repairing equipment.<\/p>\n

Leading the health and safety charge across our Cardington, Runcorn, Birmingham and Bristol sites is Christopher Parsons, our new Health and Safety Officer, whose incredible work we\u2019re pleased to share:<\/p>\n

Christopher joined the team earlier this year and brings more than 25 years of health and safety and training experience.<\/p>\n

With roles spanning warehousing, logistics and manufacturing, Christopher has managed single locations through to an estate of 400+ sites. He\u2019s already using his industry experience to enhance risk management, improve operational resilience, and ultimately make our sites an even safer place to work.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m passionate about working collaboratively to ensure health and safety is both practical and meaningful. My varied experiences have given me a well rounded, practical appreciation of workplace risks and the importance of effective health and safety management. In my new role, I provide health and safety support and guidance to site management, helping to develop their understanding and confidence so that safe working practices are embedded across operations.<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t
