Restore Information Management Appoints Douglas Rimmer as Heritage Business Development Manager

We are pleased to announce that Douglas Rimmer has been appointed to the role of Dedicated Business Development Manager for Heritage as the demand for specialist storage solutions and information management from museums, libraries and other organisations continues to grow.

Using expertise from his studies in archaeology, Rimmer will support new heritage organisations and existing customers to overcome the preservation challenges they face, including increased costs of running in-house storage facilities, maintaining high levels of compliance and GDPR regulations, and integrating AI solutions.

Andy Chatt, Sales Director says:

“Heritage organisations are under a lot of pressure to find suitable spaces to store their collections while at the same time they face rising property and maintenance costs.

“Douglas’ appointment will help us support these organisations with a dedicated expert who understands the historic value of their collections and the practical challenges involved in storing them.”

Douglas Rimmer, Development Manager for Heritage, comments:

“I’ve always been interested in historic objects and their preservation, so I’m excited about this role and building relationships across the heritage sector, learning more about the challenges organisations face and helping them to find practical solutions.

“My priority is to build on our existing expertise and ensure more museums, archives and other heritage organisations know how we can support them to keep their existing artefacts safe and bring in new items for preservation.”

Douglas’ appointment reflects Restore Information Management’s commitment to supporting the preservation of historical artefacts and items through safe storage.
