Significant investment transforms our Sittingbourne facility

In 2021, Restore Information Management acquired The Document Warehouse, which included the freehold of their Sittingbourne site. At the time, the facility housed approximately 120,000 boxes. Since then, we’ve undertaken a major transformation, turning it into a state-of-the-art facility

In December 2024 we completed a major extension to increase storage capacity to over 700,000 boxes.

The new extension boasts:

  • 12m Eaves Height: Accommodating high-density storage.
  • Advanced Systems: Modern lighting, security and fire detection systems for safety and efficiency.

Beyond the expansion, significant upgrades to the existing building include:

  • Roof Overcladding and Recladding: Improved insulation for better heat retention and a seamless aesthetic blend between old and new.
  • Exterior Refurbishment: A complete redecoration that revitalised the site’s appearance.

Sustainability has been integral to the project, with initiatives that reduce our environmental impact, including:

  • LED Lighting and Insulation: Lowering energy consumption and reducing our carbon footprint.
  • Material Reuse: Reusing block paving rather than opting for tarmac.
  • EV Charging Points: Installing 10 electric vehicle charging stations to support green transportation.

The project was completed within six months, on time and on budget.

“We are committed to providing our customers with state-of-the-art facilities that deliver the highest standards of security, efficiency, and sustainability. The transformation of our Sittingbourne site reflects this dedication, ensuring that our customers benefit from cutting-edge storage solutions and a first-class service”.
