Our 10 step document shredding process

Document shredding may not be the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about the running of your business, but it is certainly an important aspect to keep on top of. It is essential for any organisation to protect the confidentiality of the Company, its employees and also their customers. Any information that ends up in the wrong hands could potentially threaten the security of the business, therefore it’s important to dispose of these documents securely using a name you can trust.

Our 10 step secure document shredding process:

1) We will talk through what type of documents you want to be shredded and any other services you would like from us.
2) We will arrange with you the best time to do a free audit of any documentation you need shredding.
3) We will arrange with you a scheduled or call up service and you are then given the option about the type of secure container you would like your documents to be in.
4) Our team will come to collect your documents
5) Your waste is then loaded into a secure container
6) You can decide whether you would like your waste shredded on site using our mobile shredding truck or if you want it taken to our secure shredding facility.
7) Your documents are then put into the shredder
8) We are able to show you CCTV recordings of the destruction of your documents if you would prefer peace of mind that your documents have been disposed of correctly.
9) You are given a certificate of destruction immediately after we have completed your document shredding and is then stamped with a time and date
10) You then receive your certificate which we also keep a copy of.

What type of documentation would an organisation typically shred?

  • Employee data

  • Strategy documents

  • Payroll information

  • Customer details

  • Company budgets

  • Customer complaints

  • Appraisals

  • Supplier records

It is essential to destroy any information such as these shown above in order to protect your employees, customers and also the personal information of the business. This is because you must keep within the law, and also make sure your documents remain confidential.
