Restore Technology invests in EV Fleet to support long-term sustainability

Restore Technology is investing in the electrification of our vehicle fleet as part of our commitment to achieving net zero and reducing environmental impact.

What is the investment?

We’ve begun by introducing our first fully electric vehicle, a Renault Master 3.5t panel van, to our wider existing fleet. By autumn 2026, we’ll have a second electric vehicle, and both will be used for IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) collections. This enables us to future-proof our transport and logistics operations while continuing to support customers across the UK.

Why an EV Fleet?

Investing in an EV Fleet is an important part of our wider sustainability strategy. We’re aiming to fully electrify our fleet by 2035, in line with UK Government targets.

Alongside reducing emissions, as well as maintenance and fuel costs, the transition to electric vehicles will allow us to enhance our support for customers looking to reduce the environmental impact of their own supply chains.

As demand for sustainable logistics continues to grow, investing in an EV Fleet strengthens our position as a trusted and responsible partner for organisations seeking secure IT lifecycle solutions.

Our ESG Journey

Sustainable Transport & Logistics

Our Transport & Logistics team plays a critical role in delivering secure IT lifecycle services nationwide, from our sites in Bedfordshire, Bristol, Birmingham, and Runcorn. Investing in an EV Fleet is a natural next step towards our sustainability goals, and it builds on work we’ve already been doing across our operations.

Unlike other providers that outsource to third-party couriers, we operate our own fully managed, highly secure fleet with security-cleared drivers and cameras within tracked vehicles. Investing in and expanding our EV Fleet will enhance the value of our end-to-end service offering.

We’ve also implemented a new Enterprise Resource Planning system to improve our route forecasting. This has moved us from a reactive model, to offering planned collections with a minimum lead time of 5-10 days. With this system in place, we can forward plan with sustainability at the forefront, putting more collections onto one vehicle rather than sending out one vehicle per collection.

Future-proofing our services

Earlier this year, we introduced Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) across parts of our transport operations. Depending on feedstock and application, HVO can help to reduce carbon emissions by up to 90% compared with conventional diesel, and is already starting to reduce the environmental impact of our transport operations.

Electrifying our fleet is an important step in our long-term sustainability journey. Combined with smarter route planning and introducing HVO, we’re building a transport operation that is not only more sustainable, but more efficient and resilient for the future.” “We know customers are increasingly looking for partners that can help reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality or reliability, and that’s exactly what this investment supports. As we continue electrifying our fleet, we’re strengthening our ability to deliver secure and sustainable IT lifecycle services to organisations across the UK
