Mitsui Bussan Commodities Limited is a full service price risk management company, offering their global client base round the- clock access to base metals and energy derivatives market making.
The Project
For this project, our Group worked together to provide a complementary service to meet all our client’s needs.
Our client, Mitsui Bussan Commodities Ltd, was moving to a new site and Restore Harrow Green carried out the office move over one weekend. At the same time, Restore Technology carried out the IT move before disposing of any redundant IT equipment. The aspiring relocation involved moving files and office furniture for 110 staff members, along with all their desktop IT, server and telecoms equipment.
We completed an IT audit prior to the move and agreed on a protocol with our client. This meant we could identify each item for ‘move’, ‘store’ or ‘disposal’.
Restore Technology decommissioned the IT equipment, packed and transported it and then recommissioned it at the new site. Following this, we cleared the old site and carried out environmentally friendly disposal according to the WEEE directive. Much of the IT equipment was resold with the rebate returned to our client.
Restore Technology also carried out the trader desk moves two weeks after the main move.
The Outcome
Working together, we provided the full range of services needed by our Mitsui Bussan. Their main move was completed as planned, with IT being decommissioned from 5.30 pm on Friday and recommissioned from 8 am on Saturday. that are the byproduct of our innovative approach.
