Meet the Team: Saffron and Joshua
To provide you with more insight into the people working within the Secure Destruction team, we spoke with two of its members: Saffron Gowland and Joshua Thompson.
Saffron Gowland: From Crisis Communications to Secure Sales Support
Saffron, who joined the team in August, serves as our Secure Destruction Sales Support. She plays a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a smooth and seamless experience. But her background reveals a remarkable ability to stay calm under pressure.
When asked about a memorable project, Saffron shared a powerful story from her time with the Water Board. She managed communications during a major water main burst, leaving over 70,000 properties without water. This experience taught her the immense value of clear, proactive communication and the importance of maintaining trust with customers.
And what about that hidden talent? It turns out Saffron isn’t just a communication pro—she’s also a skilled dancer! She was a ballerina at the Royal Ballet School and went on to dance with Jazz North on a scholarship.
Joshua Thompson: The Journey from Processing to Account Management
Next, we have Joshua Thompson, one of our dedicated Secure Destruction Account Managers. Joshua’s journey at Restore Technology is a testament to his versatility and commitment. He started on the processing team, moved to client support, and has now excelled in his account manager role. This diverse experience has given him a unique, holistic understanding of the business, from the ground up.
Outside of work, Joshua is a music and car enthusiast who enjoys attending car shows and live music events. This love for music isn’t just a casual hobby; it’s a deep-rooted talent. Joshua has been playing the guitar since he was 11, was in a band that played shows for NME, and was even invited to record music with Universal!
Joshua’s progression and Saffron’s background in high-stakes communication perfectly illustrate the diverse expertise that makes the Secure Destruction team so effective. We’re proud to have them as part of the Restore Technology Secure Destruction team.
